Good prices. Am Taiwanese and absolutely love a Taiwanese breakfast. Very authentic tasting dou jiang, you tiao, fan tuan. Tastes like home! Haven't tried the other dishes outside of the breakfast menu items. But the breakfast items are authentic and delicious! Well priced, too! Definitely come here if you're looking for a Taiwanese breakfast fix.

Mediocre. I had the tomato sauce fried rice and it tasted like straight up ketchup. I can't remember what my mom got exactly, but as you can see from the photo it doesn't look at appetizing. There's a lot of waitresses, but water is self service and you pay for your order before the food arrives. Skip this place.

The good: everything on the breakfast menu (they call it something else but basically the first 2 pages), including the tofu soup, sticky rice rolls (apparently the direct translation is "United rice"), and the scallion beef pancake. And the prices: I think the most expensive thing we had was the $9 pancakes. Also, I am not an expert on authenticity, but I was the only non-Asian in there, which I take as a good sign.

The bad: no table water with this much salty food? I may have mild hypernatremia. Also the location is not exactly somewhere you choose to impress your date. Definitely more of a "China, pre-development" vibe.

The bottom line: $24 got 2 of us more full and more satisfied than I would have ever guessed. Great little place for a unique breakfast.

The service was shocking on this Easter Monday. My housemates and I ordered our food and only some arrived. We have to wait at least 45 mins for the missing congee to turn up! And this was after numerical attempts to remind the waiting staff who obviously don't give a shit.
    NEVER AGAIN!

Got the beef with black bean sauce and steamed rice and Chinese tea. It was just ok, total was about A$16. You pay when you order and prior to your food arriving.
